About the beach

Torre Pali is the seaside village of Salve where the 16th-century tower, now a ruin, stands in the water about fifteen metres from the shore: when it was built it was on dry land, then erosion surrounded it. Up to the tower the coast is low and sandy, with very fine sand and a small stretch of dunes; to the north it turns rocky straight away. In our data the sandy beachfront is entirely free. On the rocks you will need water shoes.

Off the rocky coast the Isola della Fanciulla, a rectangular rock, lies just at the surface: legend tells of a local girl killed during the raids of the corsair Dragut and thrown into the sea. Boats moor in the small marina, and around it is the village with trattorias and restaurants.

The nearest car park is a few steps away. Salve is a Blue Flag municipality. The beach faces south-west: with north (tramontana), north-east (grecale), east (levante), south-east (scirocco) and north-west (maestrale) winds it is sheltered, with south (ostro), south-west (libeccio) and west (ponente) winds the sea gets rough.
