There are several menhirs in the area of Tuglie, most of them still in their original location and they stand in the countryside surrounding the town, taking their names from the contrade in which they are located.
The Menhir Nove Croci was given back to the community and put in its place of origin in 2003. The monolith, located nearby a signalman’s house, almost 3 kilometres away from the town, and it is characterized by nine crosses engraved on its sides and a letter “M”.
It is still possible to see other pietrefitte such as the menhirs Carruggio and Scirocco, the former along the country road of Caruggio, the latter in the plot Scirocco.
The Menhir Monte Prino was discovered in 1962 on the small hill of Montegrappa and nowadays it is surrounded by a circular flower bed inside a private villa. The monolith has several carvings on its corners.
