The Crypt of Christ Pantocrator is a 9th-cenury Basilian laura located in Giuliano, a small suburb of Castrigano del Capo.
The crypt consists of a hall originally divided into three naves supported by four pillars each, of which only one is well preserved. One can also observe the cathedra located along the two exterior walls, several niches and the central flat apsis, preceded by the wall altar.
Inside the crypt are preserved the protheisis and the main fresco, ascribed to a later phase than the construction, depicting the Christ Pantocrator, from which the cave draws its name.

Architecture and works
