One of the most important and ancient of the beautiful City, Palazzo Specolizzi, dates back to the 14th century.
The stately residence located on Via Giuseppe Ribera preserves its original appearance with classic features of decorations on the ledges and large doors which lead to the floor above.
The coat of arms of this noble family has resisted the signs of the time and in the past was well known and appreciated in Gallipoli since its members served as mayor eleven times between 1484 and 1697. This is attested by the paintings in the hall of the city Palace. The emblem is on the prospect, resting on small sixteenth-century shelves.
