Santa Caterina and Coat Fair

In Cellino San Marco, Santa Caterina of Alexandria is celebrated with a festival that combines religious tradition and commerce. On Wednesday, 25 November at 6 pm, a mass in the church is followed by a procession through the village streets. Upon the return of the procession to Piazza Aldo Moro, the community gathers for the traditional „pettolata“ (fried dough celebration) and „castagnata“ (chestnut feast). The following Sunday, 29 November, the Coat Fair animates Piazzale Padre Pio with stalls of exhibitors offering winter clothing, coats and household items. It’s an opportunity to refresh your wardrobe and stroll through the markets, meeting friends and family.
