The oldest part of Palazzo Baronale in Cellino San Marco, usually called castle, was built during the last years of the sixteenth century at the behest of the feudatory Giovanni Antonio Albrizzi I, as it results some documents.
During the first phase, it was built the square tower, surrounded by buttresses, which can be admired on the right part of the façade. This first building, jutting out in comparison to the rest of the façade, was finished during the years of the government of the nephew of Albrizzi II.
The noble palace was enlarged in 1742 by Pasquale Chyurlia, who built the left wing.
