Affogo

At the Teatro Comunale di Novoli, „Affogo“ will be performed, a tragicomedy by Gommalacca Teatro that tells the contradictions of Nicholas, a boy who dreams of becoming a swimming champion but has a terror of water. Mario Russo and Alfredo Tortorelli bring this story to life, addressing loneliness, bullying, and difficult family dynamics, oscillating between irony and unease. The story unfolds between the private bathroom, an intimate refuge, and the communal pool, a space for confrontation with others. Nicholas, raised in a toxic family environment, carries the traumas of childhood into adulthood, finding himself caught in a spiral of violence where he is both victim and perpetrator. The show will be performed on 14 November 2026 at 8:45 pm as part of the „Per un teatro umano“ series.
