Torre Santa Cesarea, or Torre del Belvedere, is a coastal tower built on the coastline of Salento, in the district of Santa Cesarea Terme.
Built in the 16th century, at the request of Charles V to defend the territory from the threats coming from the sea, this watchtower, lookout post against Saracen assaults, is located 110 meters above sea level.
Torre Santa Cesarea is one of the four coastal towers in the territory of Santa Cesarea Terme, a defensive system that includes Torre Miggiano, Torre Specchia di Guardia and Torre Minervino.
It has a circular shape, slightly sloping, about 8 meters high. It is made of irregular stone and has a small square window. Surrounded by Mediterranean scrub, it overlooks the hill and the entire inhabited area.
The tower is seen by Torre Specchia di Guardia from north, and with Torre Miggiano from south.
Restored in 2012, today the tower is completely renovated from an architectural and static point of view.

Dates with an empty square are uncertain: few or unverified sources report them.
Architecture and works
