The tower stands a kilometer away from the town centre, along the streets which connects Torchiarolo to Salento coast road, towards Lendinuso.
It has a quadrangular plan, whose base consists of irregular calcareous ashlar. It is almost ten metres high and some of the walls consist of heaps of stones and soil, more than one metre thick.
The sloping ground floor made it hard to attack it. On the four sides of the tower there are as many machicolations, while the fifth one is carved out of the wall above the entrance door on the ground floor.
The tower has two overlapping floors, while around the upper perimeter there is a cornice with merlons.
