The Castello Protonobilissimo Risolo has dominated the heart of Specchia since the 16th century, overlooking Piazza del Popolo with its two-story facade, elegant balustrade, and corner tower.\n\nThe imposing structure has a quadrangular plan and, at its center, features a large inner courtyard where the great crenellated tower stands out.\n\nThe facade is articulated over two floors, softened by a balustrade. The portal is characterized by an ashlar structure, the noble coat of arms, and the busts of Desiderio Protonobilissimo, Prince of Muro Leccese, and his wife Margherita Trani.\n\nCurrently, the castle, undergoing restoration to preserve its characteristics as a fortified palace, serves as a venue for events and is part of the town's distributed hotel network.
