Between Tradition and Avant-Garde

In Lecce, in the spaces of the Fondazione Palmieri, the exhibition tells the story of the transition from traditional figuration to a new era of Salentine painting. The journey brings together 34 works by 22 artists and puts painting and sculpture in dialogue, with a look at the artistic transformations of the twentieth century and the openings towards the avant-garde.\n\nThe exhibition is hosted in the ancient 16th-century church of San Sebastiano, in Vico dei Sotterranei, and can be visited daily from October 31 to November 7, in the morning and late afternoon.
