(H)amleto arrives at Cinema Teatro Valentino in Castellaneta on 16 December 2026 with a reimagining of Shakespeare’s tragedy performed by a mixed ensemble cast of actors with and without disabilities. The production stems from research on the theatrical representation of non-conforming bodies and lives, with the script penned by Fabrizio, writer and performer, who shapes the material through reflections gathered over time, blending character and self. The work tackles the theme of existence, that “being there” that ties us to life even when its meaning eludes us, constructing a unique theatrical language that seeks new significance in the classic tragedy.
