The theatrical performance “Act of Sorrow” tells the story of Leonardo Vitale, a man raised within a mafia environment who decides to undergo a profound personal transformation. In March 1973, Vitale voluntarily surrendered to the authorities, confessing his crimes and revealing important details about prominent figures in organized crime. His courageous act has significant consequences: it leads to the arrest of many mobsters, but also to his imprisonment and subsequently to his declaration of mental incapacity. The play explores this inner conflict between the search for redemption and the inevitable consequences of a previous life. The event takes place on Friday, 22 January 2027 at Multiplex Teatro Fasano in Taviano, showtime at 9 pm.
