The Palazzo di cristallo (former convent of Dominicans) in Latiano is a Renaissance palace and belonged to Dominican friars, whose presence in the city dates back to the 16th the century.
The sixteenth century building, confiscated by the government after the Napoleonic suppressions, has been changed over the centuries, modifying its original look. The structure has two levels: the lower one with two portals and a series of windows, whose pattern is repeated, with symmetry, one the façade of the first floor.
One of the two portals on the ground floor belongs to the original palace, while the second one has been recently built, according to the new logistic needs of the complex. The original portal has a round arch built on two pilasters and decorated with motifs like roses.
